Kazkill is a ministry that spans many years. Brothers Bo & Dabo grew up in an evangelistic family rooted in the Mississippi delta and the hills of Tennessee. Big Daddy Bill preached while Momma Willa Dean and the boyz ministered in music. The family traveled throughout the southland to churches and tent meetings - any place God sent them to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Bo-N-Dabo learned dem Blues on front porches and in clapboard churches. Their music reflects their calling to evangelizing.

When Bo graduated from a Nashville high school, he and Dabo loaded up the VW van, took their guitars and headed out to the harvest. Those were the pioneering days of Gospel Rock. Christian artists like Larry Norman, Randy Matthews, The Rez Band, The Sheep - paved the way. Kazkill was right there playing coffee houses and youth hang outs - passing the hat and trusting God to provide. There was always popcorn and beans, a good place to camp and gas to get to the next gig. God is faithful. As the overall Christian music scene evolved into big business, Bo and Dabo distanced themselves from the transformation. Eventually the boyz gravitated back to the family ministry and rejoined Daddy and Momma in evangelism.

The family ministry carried on until God ordained it was time for Bill and Dean to rest. In his 80's and after Willa Dean suffered a stroke, the elders had to slow down. Our fragile frames eventually falter but the devil never sleeps. In such a family there was no doubt that Bo and Dabo would take the torch and carry on.

God has kept the boyz laboring in the harvest. Today, the Kazkills pastor a church in inner-city Nashville. Bo preaches and Dabo ministers in music. Urban outreach has led the boyz to Christian Blues. More than any other, this genre reaches those people that institutional religion has disenfranchised - people Jesus came to seek and to save. Kazkill considers gigs prayerfully and balances appearances against their inner-city ministry.

KAZKILL DEBUT SINGLE CHARTS #3...

A pre-release single in the Christian Blues genre nets KAZKILL a slam dunk. Internet radio listeners voted "Jesus Knows The Blues" #3 behind two well established artists who are definitely NOT indie. "JC Blues" is part of their newly released CD - KAZKILL: Code Blues.

KAZKILL PLANS EUROPEAN TOUR

Bo-N-Dabo have been making strides in the European internet music scene and are making plans for a continental tour in the Summer of 2007. "We've been really blessed by the response we've gotten in England and we're starting to make inroads into other countries as well", says Bo.

Dabo is quick to add, "much of what we hear in the States about the rapid decline of Christianity in Europe doesn't seem to be the case. We're encountering an active, dedicated remnant of God's people standing firm in the Lord there."

The boyz want folks to know the brethren in England are some of the most loving, compassionate and encouraging Christians they've had the pleasure of ministering with. Bo-N-Dabo are anxious to show the Christians of Europe that the Spirit of Jesus Christ is alive and well in the American church as well.
